A man convicted of sexual assault, and who is facing charges in connection to several others, is wanted by Kamloops RCMP.

Joel Eric Carlson, 30, is facing six counts of breaching his release orders, according to an RCMP news release.

RCMP did not say what conditions he's accused of breaching.

Court records show he's accused of breaching his bail conditions in Chilliwack on six separate days in March. He's also accused of breaching his conditional release order in Chilliwack four times, with one in February and three in March.

If he's found, Carlson is expected to appear in a Kamloops courtroom, May 26.

Carlson was convicted of sexual assault last summer in Vernon, but he didn't receive any time in jail. His sentence included a requirement to stay at a residential treatment centre he was already living at as part of his bail conditions.

That charge came after Kamloops RCMP announced Carlson had been charged and arrested for a dozen separate sexual assaults. Investigators believed there were more victims that hadn't come forward.

His trial in connection with those charges has yet to start.

RCMP describe Carlson as a 30-year-old Caucasian male, 6'2" tall, 221 lb. with brown hair and blue eyes.

Kamloops RCMP didn't mention his previous conviction or the charges he's facing in its news release.

Anyone with information about Carlson's whereabouts can contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
