PENTICTON - Plans for the Canada Day fireworks are in the works for Penticton, but donations are needed to help pay for the display.
The fireworks show will be staged off a barge behind Okanagan Lake Park this summer.
The Downtown Penticton Association have added a donation button to their website. Donations can also be made at the association’s offices at 212 Main St.
The City of Penticton has kickstarted donations with an initial $1,500 contribution while the association hopes to attract both business and personal sponsors for the illuminating event on July 1.
Businesses who become a Friend of Fireworks will see their logo on printed material and featured in the Downtown Association’s social media.
