KAMLOOPS - The Valleyview overpass on Highway 1 in Kamloops will soon be getting a facelift and drivers will be to monitor the work online after two new webcams were installed this week.
B.C.’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure announced the five-week project will begin on Tuesday, March 29.
The work will focus on extending the life of the overpass to keep it in good operating condition. According to a provincial government media release, the work will include replacing bridge joints and pouring new concrete.
Because of the construction activity, drivers might notice some delays. One lane in each direction will be closed for the duration of the work. The webcams, which are temporary, will help commuters track traffic flow and driving conditions.
