"Active aurora possible with slight chance of isolated minor auroral substorms and favourable conditions for major aurora activity," the forecast says.

Last month, on the evening of Feb. 26, the aurora made an extraordinarily bright appearance that was observable from the naked eye throughout the B.C. Interior.

To be able to appreciate the aurora, the weather also has to co-operate.
