It's always a special treat when the aurora borealis flares up above Kamloops and the Okanagan – and when it happened last night, it was one of the very rare chances to be able to see them naked eye.
The northern lights could even be seen dancing, a phenomenon normally only enjoyed by people living much farther north.
In addition to the usual green glow, many local photographers were capturing shades of pink and purple in last night's aurora.
