A semi-annual 'Community to Community' forum is set for the end of March between leaders at the City of Kamloops and Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc.
According to a recent media release from the city of Kamloops, the forum will take place virtually at 10 a.m. on March 31.
"The objective of the forum is to build on the positive and respectful social and cultural relationship developed between councils," Tammy Robertson, spokesperson for the city, said in a media statement.
Theses forums have been funded by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Indigenous Services Canada since 1999, according to the Union of B.C. Municipalities website. Over 650 forums have been held in B.C. since that time.
The event will be taking place on Zoom this year where Kúkpi7 Roseanne Casimir and Mayor Ken Christian will discuss challenges faced by each community.
The Zoom meeting can be found here at the start time.
