Kamloops RCMP say a body has been located and tentatively identified as that of a missing 57-year-old Kamloops woman.

Jo-Anne Donovan was last seen at her Kamloops home on Monday, March 13.

RCMP say in a media release issued today, March 23, that an autopsy will be conducted to confirm her identity.

“This is not the outcome that anyone was hoping for,” RCMP Cpl. David Marshall said in the release. “Our investigation has now shifted focus to determine what happened to Jo-Anne.”

RCMP don’t believe there is any risk to the public.

Investigators are looking to speak with witnesses who may have seen Donovan or her grey Chevrolet Impala around March 13.
