Kamloops is in for a chilly weekend before temperatures climb above the freezing mark next week.
Environment Canada says to expect a mainly sunny day today, Nov. 29, in Kamloops with a 30 per cent chance of flurries early this afternoon in Kamloops. With a 15 km/h wind and a high of -5 Celsius you can expect a windchill near -15 C. There is a 30 per cent chance of flurries overnight under a partly cloudy sky with a low of -12 C and a windchill of -15 C
That’s pretty cold compared to Kamloops’s normal temperatures at this time of year which are highs of 2 C and lows of -4 C.
Saturday is expected to be sunny but continuing cold with a high of -8 C and a low of -13 C.
Clouds are expected on Sunday with a high of -9 C and an overnight low of -13 C.
Monday should see a mix of sun and cloud with temperatures remaining on the chilly side. Monday’s high is expected to only reach -7 C with an overnight low of -8 C.
Things start to warm up on Tuesday in Kamloops with mainly overcast conditions along with a high to -1 C and a low of -2 C overnight.
The daytime high should reach 0 C on Wednesday, again under cloudy skies, with a low of -2 C.
Thursday should be cloudy with a daytime high 1 C.
