PENTICTON - The City of Penticton is preparing to move forward with a number of infrastructure repair and renewal projects with the approach of summer.
Public Works Department has put together a timetable of road, sewer and waterworks projects scheduled to take place this year.
The city’s plans reveal seven construction hotspots residents might wish to avoid if at all possible during certain periods this summer.
Construction gets underway on the Burnaby Avenue water main next week, where work is scheduled to take place from May 18 through June 22.
The Granby Avenue sanitary sewer and water main will also be under construction from May 18 through June 29, as will the Dynes Avenue storm sewer from May 18 to June 1.
Reconstruction of Corry Place is scheduled to take place from June 22 to July 27.
Work on the Carmi Avenue sanitary sewer and water main gets underway later in the summer, from June 29 to August 31, as does construction on the Municipal Avenue water main, scheduled for August 3 to September 7.
Main Street’s sanitary sewer is scheduled for work to take place September 7 to 28.
