Christmas Day helicopter accident sends one to Kamloops hospital

KAMLOOPS - A Christmas Day helicopter accident sent one person to hospital, but left other passengers unharmed.

On Dec. 25 at 10:38 a.m. a helicopter run by Mike Wiggle Helicopter Skiing rolled onto it’s side as it landed near Blue River north of Kamloops, according to a media release from the company.

A guide for the company was injured and sent to Royal Inland Hospital, the release says. Three passengers, a second guide and the pilot were uninjured.

The company says the cause is unknown, but an investigation is looking into the incident.
