AGASSIZ, B.C. - A former Mountie who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy while the man was infected with HIV has died in a B.C. prison.
Fifty-four-year-old Warren Allen was found unresponsive in his cell on Friday at Mountain Institution in Agassiz, where he was serving a three-year sentence.
A news release says correctional officers immediately performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead in hospital.
Allen, who was an RCMP officer about 30 years ago, bragged on an Internet chat line about how he and a friend sexually assaulted the boy.
He was also serving time for distributing child pornography after police seized more than 840,000 child porn images.
Police in Canada were tipped off about Allen by the FBI.
