A Merritt woman will appear in court tomorrow to face charges for what RCMP deemed a targeted attack.
The accused allegedly entered a home on the 2400-block of Calpperton Avenue on Oct. 8, where police say the homeowner was assaulted with a collapsible baton.
According to a Merritt RCMP news release, two suspects entered the home without permission in a targeted attack, and they were found shortly after the incident.
"These acts of violence have no place in our community," says Sgt. Josh Roda, Merritt RCMP spokesperson. "Our officers responded quickly and completed a thorough investigation, which was forwarded to the B.C. Prosecution Service for charge assessment."
Adrianna Squakin was charged on Dec. 1 for being unlawfully within a home, assault with a weapon and mischief.
She is scheduled to appear for court in Merritt on Dec. 14.
