Charges laid in gunstore cross-bow incident

KAMLOOPS – Charges have been laid against a man accused of trying to rob a gun store with a crossbow.

According to an RCMP press release on August 11, a man entered the Powder Keg Shooters Supply store on Tranquille road, pointed the crossbow at the store attendant and demanded a gun.

While police looked for their suspect, a man turned himself in to the Kamloops RCMP detachment claiming responsibility for the incident.

Alejandro Muzio, 31, is charged with attempted robbery. His next scheduled court appearance is August 21.

Muzio is not in custody.
