Westside Road is currently closed in both directions in the Central Okanagan after a motorcycle and truck collided this morning.
The West Kelowna RCMP responded to a "serious collision" on the road, Oct. 15, at roughly 11:45 a.m., according to the RCMP in a press release.
The collision involved a truck and motorcycle, roughly 1 kilometre south of Lake Okanagan Resort. Other emergency personnel are also on scene.
"At this time, Westside Road is closed in both directions as the police conduct their investigation," according to the RCMP.
The RCMP is not releasing details on the status of the people at this time, said Sgt. Kevin Duggan, with the Kelowna RCMP. It is expected to remain closed for several hours but that depends on the scene, he said.
"Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or with dash cam footage who have not yet spoken with police, to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880."
To remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave a tip online.
