Cash deposit stolen from Superstore Gas Bar

Police say this man is suspected of stealing cash from a gas station in Kelowna Monday.

WEST KELOWNA – Police are asking for help from the public in identifying a man believed to have stolen cash from a gas station Monday afternoon.

According to a release from Cpl. Joe Duncan, a suspicious man was seen 'hanging around' the Westbank Superstore Gas Bar around 12:45 p.m., April 6.

“When the store attendant was busy helping other customers, the suspect male… entered into the office and stole the cash deposit," Duncan says.

The amount taken was not disclosed however the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Kelowna RCMP, Cst. Hall, at 250-768-2880 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
