Pumpkin carvers are getting the unique opportunity to win a will by showcasing their skills.

FH&P Lawyers is holding its second annual pumpkin carving contest until Oct. 26.

“We are encouraging you to honour the age-old tradition of carving pumpkins at your dining room table or in your garage despite everything that we are dealing with. Carving a pumpkin is a perfect activity that the whole family can enjoy,” according to the lawyers’ website.

The lawyers are asking residents to post pictures of their carved pumpkins on Facebook or Instagram and tag the posts with FH&P Lawyers. Tagged posts will be automatically entered to win the chance to be “crowned as pumpkin royalty.”

No stencils are allowed and the contest is limited to one pumpkin per household.

The grand prize winner will receive a free will from FH&P Lawyers, valued at $400, two bottles of wine from The Hatch Winery & Black Swift Vineyards, a $30 gift certificate to the Downtown Kelowna Boston Pizza, a $30 gift certificate to Cora Breakfast and Lunch, a pair of complimentary tickets to attend a Kelowna Rockets regular-season game, and FH&P Lawyers will make a $500 donation to a local registered charity of the winner's choice.

More information on the contest rules can be found on the FH&P Lawyers website.
