Canucks release schedule, ticket prices for Penticton's Young Stars Classic

The Young Stars Classic hockey tournament returns to the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton this September.

The Vancouver Canucks have announced the game schedule and ticket details for the 10th edition of the popular Young Stars Classic hockey tournament in Penticton.

Four teams will go head-to-head in a six-game, round-robin tournament featuring talented prospects from the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton from Sept. 15 to Sept. 18, according to a events centre media release issued today, June 6.

To add to the excitement, the hometown Penticton Vees will also be playing an exhibition game against the Chilliwack Chiefs on the Saturday.

Tournament packages go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, and can be be purchased at the Valley First Box Office at the events centre or online here. Full tournament packages include tickets to all six of the NHL games and the Penticton Vees game. Prices begin at $115 for adults, $75 for children ages 12 and under.

Lots of other fun community events will be underway during the tournament including the annual Young Stars Classic Party on the Plaza, minor hockey skills and referee clinics, and a hockey talk with Canuck assistant general manager Cammi Granato.
