PENTICTON - This year's 69th annual Penticton Peach Festival has one of Canada’s hottest country talents headlining for 2016.
Canadian country music star Chad Brownlee will take to the stage in Okanagan Lake Park on Thursday, Aug. 4.
Brownlee is a five-time Canadian Country Music Awards nominee, including two nominations for Male Artist of the Year.
He won the Rising Star Award in 2011 and his latest album Love Me or Leave Me has garnered a Juno Award nomination.
Brownlee was raised in Kelowna and traded in a brief professional hockey career for one in music. He had been drafted by the Vancouver Canucks and spent four years playing in college hockey.
Jordan McIntosh, another Canadian country musician, will be opening for Brownlee. The 20-year-old was nominated for a Canadian Country Music Association Rising Star Award last year.
