KELOWNA – No word yet on the cause of a fire which gutted the inside of a parked camper in Kelowna this morning.

Fire crews were called an empty lot in the 1200-block of Brookside Avenue near Wilkinson Street in central Kelowna at about 11:50 a.m., Sept. 5.

Platoon captain Tim Lights says firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze.

He says the camper was unoccupied and uninsured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it didn’t look like anyone had been living in the camper, Light says.
