KELOWNA - Legendary Canadian musician Burton Cummings will be in Kelowna this fall, as part of his Up Close and Alone tour.
Cummings, who was the lead singer and keyboardist for The Guess Who, will be performing at the Kelowna Community Theatre, Oct.17 at 7:30 p.m. Some of the hits Cummings co-wrote or wrote, include American Woman and These Eyes.
Burton is that rare artist who has transcended time, genres and generations, with a body of work that continues to resonate with fans both old and new, and he continues at the top of his game as a performer, singer, songwriter and recording artist second to none, according to a release from the Kelowna Community Theatre.
The numerous award winning rock icon is in Canada’s Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Canada’s Walk of Fame, the release says. Cummings has also been a recipient of the Order of Canada.
Tickets go on sale Friday, July 7 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased through selectyourtickets.com or by phone at 250-762-5050, as well as at the Prospera Place box office.
