A British military veteran's uniform was stolen during a break and enter this week in Kamloops.

RCMP said the military uniforms and backpack were stored in a shipping container on Vicars Road. On Feb.13, someone discovered uniform pieces were missing.

"The items were of a great sentimental value to the owner," Cpl. Crystal Evelyn of Kamloops RCMP said in a media release.

The owner gave police stock images of their equipment, which includes a jumper vest, camouflage jacket, pants, a military beret, black army boots and a large green backpack.

"If you took them, or know someone who recently came into possession of some military clothing, please contact police so that we can help facilitate their return," Cpl. Evelyn said.

Kamloops RCMP are looking for tips from the public. Anyone with information can contact the detachment at 250-828-3000.
