KAMLOOPS - If you were wondering how to get to BrewLoops this weekend, look no further.

This year, organizers of the BrewLoops festival will be offering a free shuttle service to get you to the event safely, according to a news release.

The fifth annual BrewLoops Fall Festival will be held at McArthur Island today, Sept. 27 and tomorrow, Sept. 28.

"Finding enough parking for an event like this is always tricky and making sure that folks arrive home safely has always been a top priority for the society," BrewLoops Society co-chair Tyson Andrykew says in the release.

This is the first time the society has provided a shuttle service for the event. The shuttle will run on both Friday and Saturday evenings with hourly pick up and drop off locations at the Visitor Centre across from Aberdeen Mall, the Delta Hotel downtown and McArthur Island.

The shuttle buses can carry a maximum of 14 people and will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

For those who are driving, there will be maps of the island highlighting parking areas and walking routes to the event, Andrykew says.

There is also a notice to the public that traffic is expected to be congested around McArthur Island from Friday at 5 p.m. until Saturday at 11 p.m. Access to the Island Parkway after Norbrock Stadium will be closed. There will also be public transit vouchers available to patrons on a first come first serve basis.

BrewLoops is a volunteer-run organization with all proceeds donated to local charities.
