MONTREAL - Montreal police say bones found on a river bank may be those of a human being.
Passersby discovered the remains on Wednesday night as they walked beside the Riviere-des-Prairies.
Police are not confirming the bones are human but say it looks as though they are.
Authorities returned to the scene today and found more bone fragments.
Police say the crime scene now stretches over about one kilometre.
Tests to determine whether the remains are human are likely to take several days.
