The body of a 25-year-old Vancouver man was found near Manning Provincial Park after he went missing in October last year.
Searchers found Jordan Naterer's body around 12 p.m., July 7, nearly three kilometres from where volunteer searchers found some of Naterer's belongings on July 4, according to an RCMP media release.
Naterer left his home in Vancouver on October 10, 2020, for a hiking trip in Manning Park.
He was expected to arrive at a family gathering after his trip, but he never arrived.
Although his vehicle was soon found at the Frosty Mountain Trailhead near the Lightening Lake Day Use area, his body wasn't located until nearly a year later.
“The family of Mr. Naterer has been notified. Crews are continuing their search of the immediate area into the afternoon, and likely into tomorrow," RCMP spokesperson Const. James Grandy said in the release.
The B.C. Coroners Service conducting their own investigation to determine the cause of death.
