Blistering heat will be gone this week as Kamloops weather returns to normal

There should be some opportunities for summer fun in Kamloops this week, in spite of the fact summer is slip sliding away.

It looks like a good week for late summer outdoor activities in Kamloops.

The city can expect a mostly sunny week with temperatures in the mid to high 20s Celsius until next weekend, when temperatures are expected to dip to below seasonal norms.

Environment Canada says to expect a 40 per cent chance of showers this morning before clearing this afternoon as winds become west at 20 km/h.

Today’s high should reach a cool 24 C, with a low of 10 C overnight.

Wednesday and Thursday should be sunny and 26 C, with overnight lows to 13 C and 11 C respectively.

There’s more sun in store on Friday with a high reaching 27 C and a low of 13 C before some cooling in time for the weekend.

The weekend looks like it will be a mix of sun and cloud with highs of 24 C on Saturday and only 21 C on Sunday.

Kamloops normally sees a high of 27 C and a low of 12 C during the third week of August.
