Blind Bay man killed in crash identified

BLIND BAY - The young man killed in a vehicle crash near Blind Bay last week has been identified.

The B.C. Coroners Service says Brody Lane Richard Southwell, 19, was riding in a car when it went out of control around 2:30 a.m., May 6, struck a culvert and rolled several times. Southwell was found deceased at the scene. 

The Blind Bay resident was with a 20-year-old in the Honda Civic when it lost control. The 20-year-old, also from Blind Bay, was taken to hospital. There is no update on his condition.

The coroners service and RCMP continue to investigate the incident.
