KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops Blazers are pleased to announce the formation of the Kamloops Blazers Advisory Board.

The Advisory Board is comprised of individuals who share a common passion for hockey and the Kamloops Blazers, they are highly respected in the Kamloops & Greater Community, and are noted for their personal integrity and business acumen.

The board members include: Chairman Norm Daley - Managing Partner at Daley & Company CPA LLP, Garth Buchko - Vice President & General Manager - NL Broadcasting, Monica Dickinson - Director, Industry Relations & Communications - Tourism Kamloops, Steve Earl - General Manager - Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, Rob James - Owner & President - RJames Western Star Freightliner, Yves Lacasse - External Affairs Manager - KGHM- Ajax, Jim Lightbody - President & CE0 - B.C. Lottery Corp., Byron McCorkell - Director Parks, Recreation & Culture - City of Kamloops, and Rob Zimmer - Owner & President - Zimmer AutoGroup.

“The Advisory Board will play a major role in the development and growth of the Kamloops Blazers in the business community,” commented President & COO, Don Moores.

The Advisory Board will work with the hockey club to build new business relationships, enhance the game night experience and expand the hockey club’s fan base.

“The formation of the Advisory Board is a collection of passionate and business-oriented individuals with deep roots in Kamloops,” said Governor, Tom Gaglardi. “We believe they will help our organization with strategic decisions in building greater partnerships within our community.”

The idea to create an Advisory Board came from the success of the Ownership Advisory Board that the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League formed.

“The advice and guidance the Stars have received from business leaders in Dallas has been immeasurable,” commented Gaglardi. “We think we can create a similar model in Kamloops.”
