KELOWNA - If you’re looking for hot chicks, look no further than the Birds of the UBC Okanagan Campus 2016 calendar.

Produced by biologists, the annual calendar features some of the birds that can be found on the school’s campus.

Photographers this year ranged across the entire 209 hectares of campus grounds and includes bluebirds, a blackbird, a swan, a bald eagle and an osprey.

“With our calendar, we are keeping the local community aware of the fact that our campus is blessed with some relatively pristine areas which maintain a fair diversity of plants and animals. Bird are a highly visible aspect of this diversity,” professor Bob Lalonde says, in a media release.

“Undergraduates have an opportunity to find out whether research in biology is something that they would like to pursue."

The fund-raising calendar is available for $20 at the UBC Okanagan bookstore in the adminstration building and will soon be available at Mosaic Books at 411 Bernard Ave. in downtown Kelowna.
