An Okanagan ski resort has been named the best for snowboarding in Canada by an American magazine.
USA Today has awarded Big White Ski Resort with second place in North America, first place in Canada, in its snowboarding Reader’s Choice contest.
Big White has earned accolades from other magazines in the past, including second place on Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice.
USA Today’s expert panel said the mountain has "breathtaking runs, gorgeous views, and brilliant terrain," according to a press release from Big White.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who voted for us and helped place Big White Ski Resort among the elite destinations for snowboarding,” the resort said in the release.
Voting for the Reader’s Choice ended on Nov. 20, and the official list will be in the Dec. 1 edition of USA Today.
