B.C.'s police watchdog is looking into the involvement an RCMP officer might have had in an incident in Lake Country.
The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. said in a media release at approximately 7:35 p.m., Sept. 11, a man was stopped by an RCMP officer while driving his blue 2012 Mazda 3 on Highway 97 near Lodge Road in Lake Country.
During the traffic stop, an interaction occurred and the man sustained a serious injury.
The role that the officer's actions or inaction played in the man's injury is under investigation.
The civilian oversight agency investigates all officer-related incidents that result in serious harm or death, whether or not there is any allegation of wrongdoing.
