KELOWNA - Le Cirque De La Nuit is coming to Kelowna for the first time June 15.

The Calgary-based troupe will perform Wondrous, a continuous journey of interactive performances based on Alice in Wonderland. Their signature show showcases a battle of good and evil when Alice and the Red Queen fall deep down the rabbit hole.

Their show will feature break dancers, belly dancers, burlesque numbers, acrobatic acts in the sky, a Cyr wheel, a couture show and other circus wonders, according to a media release.

The event is organized by the BC Wine Cider & Spirits Festival, so rest assured your circus experience will be full of free samples from local wineries, cideries, distilleries and breweries.

Katherine Bramall, founder and general manager of the B.C. Wine Cider & Spirits Festival, said in the release to expect “an amazing visual show paired with a tasting of the best of B.C.’s craft industry."

Guests are encouraged to dress as their favourite Wondrous character, with a touch of circus freak.
