The RCMP has issued a nationwide warrant for a suspect in a triple murder that happened in northern B.C. in the 90s.
Police are searching for Kevin Louis Vermette, 70, who they believe is responsible for a triple murder and an attempted murder in Kitimat back on July 12, 1997, according to a press release from RCMP.
A $2,000 reward may be offered for tips made through Crime Stoppers that lead to Vermette’s arrest. The identity of tipsters is kept secret following an arrest.
Vermette is described as caucasian, brown hair, blue eyes, 5’9” and 161 lbs. He wears glasses and has distinct tattoos; a cat on his upper right arm with “lucky” written below it, and a coyote, moon, and a dagger through a red nose on his left arm.
The RCMP said his appearance may have changed significantly since the crimes took place.
Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP at 250-632-7111, or give an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
