A B.C. nurse has been placed under supervision after using profanity and undue force with a patient.
According to a March 7 B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives decision, Prince George licenced practical nurse Ivan Orlowsky used "profanity and undue force" with a patient while caring for them.
The nursing regulator's decision also says Orlowsky did not adhere to professional behaviour and communication with his colleagues.
The issues occurred between March 6 and 18, 2022.
"Following the incident, (Orlowsky) sought assistance to ensure his conduct is not repeated, including enhanced stress management supports. This was considered mitigating," the decision reads. "He provided positive reports from his current employment."

Orlowsky signed a consent agreement admitting to his behaviour.
He will now be supervised for the next nine months and is prohibited from working with multiple employers or being the sole licenced practical nurse on duty.
Orlowsky is also barred from being in charge and is not allowed to supervise staff or students. He will also have to take remedial education.

The regulator says it is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
