SURREY, B.C. - Mounties are looking for a suspect after a man was lit on fire in Surrey, B.C.

Police say the public should call 911 if they see 33-year-old Kalid Yimer who is believed to be in the Lower Mainland or travelling to Alberta.

Cpl. Sarbjit Sangha says Yimer is believed to be violent and dangerous and he should not be approached.

Police say a man was found Aug. 2 with serious burns after a suspect threw an accelerant on him, then lit him on fire.

Police say the suspect fled in a stolen vehicle, which was later recovered, and the burn victim is recovering in hospital.

Yimer is described as five-feet-six-inches tall with dark hair, brown eyes and a medium build.
