B.C. Green Party leadership candidate Sonia Furstenau will tour the Okanagan and Kamloops later this week.

From March 12 to 17, the MLA for Cowichan Valley is holding campaign events in Kelowna, Vernon and Kamloops, according to a B.C. Green Party media release.

“The Okanagan is home to a vibrant Green membership and I am excited to visit them on my tour,” she said in the release.

“The B.C. Green leadership contest is permitting non-members to vote, and I am also looking forward to engaging new supporters. The Okanagan is a fast-growing region and there is much opportunity for the province to better support it through investments in transit and infrastructure, support for the innovative economy, and transitioning to the clean economy as we meet our climate targets. I look forward to hearing the thoughts of residents on the issues that matter most to them,” she said.

Furstenau will visit these locations:

Kelowna

Kelowna Downtown Library,1380 Ellis St., Classroom 1, March 12 at 7 p.m.

Vernon

People Place, 3402 27 Ave., March 15 at 2 p.m.

Kamloops

RareBirds Co-op, 72 Battle St W., March 17 at 6 p.m.

No campaign stops are planned for the South Okanagan.
