B.C. residents keen to plan their first camping trip of 2023 will be able to do as of 7 a.m. tomorrow.
B.C. Parks website opens for reservations at 7 a.m. Jan. 3 allowing campers to reserve campsites up to four months in advance.
Would-be campers will be able to reserve sites at a multitude of campsites across the province for reservations up to arrival on May 3.
It's worth remembering the popular May long weekend which opens up for reservations on Jan. 19 for the May 19 holiday.
Most provincial campsites aren't open yet, but start their camping seasons in March or April, with some not opening until May.
Popular Okanagan sites Ellison, Fintry, and Mabel Lake Provincial Parks open their sites March 31. Shuswap Lake Provincial Park opens April 29. Wells Gray Provincial Park opens May 13.
Booking for the Canada Day July long weekend will open on Mar. 1 and bookings for the August long weekend April 5.
