Report: Ryan Braun's name listed in records of Florida clinic under MLB investigation

FILE - In this Sept. 30, 2012, file photo, Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun walks off the field after striking out to end the game in the Brewers' 8-0 loss to the Houston Astros in a baseball game in Milwaukee. Braun says he used the person who ran the Florida clinic now under investigation by Major League Baseball as a consultant on his drug suspension appeal last year and nothing more. Yahoo Sports is reporting that Milwaukee slugger Ryan Braun's name is listed in the records of the Florida clinic under investigation by Major League Baseball for allegedly providing banned substances to athletes.

The report Tuesday says Yahoo obtained three records from the Biogenesis of America LLC clinic that showed Braun's name. Yahoo says no specific performance-enhancing drugs were noted next to the references to Braun.

The Miami New Times recently reported that Alex Rodriguez, Gio Gonzalez, Melky Cabrera and other players bought banned drugs from the clinic.

Braun tested positive for elevated testosterone levels during the 2011 post-season. He drew a 50-game suspension from MLB that was later overturned.

Text messages sent by The Associated Press to Braun and one of his representatives were not immediately returned.
