TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays announced their 28-man active roster ahead of Opening Day on Thursday afternoon.
Left-handed reliever Ryan Borucki was been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain retroactive to Monday.
Right-handed pitcher Nate Pearson was also put on the 10-day IL dating back to Monday with mononucleosis.
Infielder Gosuke Katoh was selected to Toronto's major league roster and catcher Zach Collins was recalled from triple-A Buffalo.
Adding Collins to the roster means that the Blue Jays have three catchers on their roster.
Danny Jansen and Alejandro Kirk were already on Toronto's active roster as catchers.
