A Game 4, if the Jays make it that far, could see Price back on the mound

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Toronto Blue Jays are considering using David Price in Game 4 of their best-of-five American League Division Series — if they get that far.

On the eve of Game 3 and with the Jays facing elimination, manager John Gibbons said he didn't want to look past Sunday, but confirmed he may go with Price on short rest.

"Well, we've got to worry about tomorrow first but of course that's always a possibility," Gibbons said. "We know we could do anything we wanted really. But not too wise to get that far ahead."

Texas won the opener 5-3 against Price on Thursday. Price, who left after seven innings, gave up five earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks. He threw 90 pitches, 59 for strikes.

Friday's Game 2 was a marathon thriller that saw the Rangers rally for two runs with two outs in the 14th inning to defeat the Blue Jays 6-4.

Game 4, if necessary, is scheduled for Monday at Globe Life Park.
