Actors in the Okanagan will have a chance to make it big starting this week.

The newly-formed BookIT Talent Agency is looking for actors for feature films, made-for-TV movies and commercials filmed in the Okanagan, according to a press release.

Auditions are open for children, teens, adults and seniors on July 11 and 12 at The Film Factory in downtown Kelowna.

Local talent manager, Brenda Connell, will be expanding the Valley's local talent pool in partnership with industry veteran and international talent agent Carla Brown, of Calgary's Platinum Talent Management.

The film industry will be kicking off this summer with new COVID-19 health and safety guidelines from WorkSafeBC, after getting the go-ahead from the provincial government in June.

Interested actors of any experience level or ethnicity can text 403-294-0094 to reserve an audition spot.
