Attempted robbery suspect arrested in Kamloops

A woman handed a note to a convenience store employee in North Kamloops, which included a threat and a demand for cash this past weekend.

Kamloops RCMP said in a press release issued today, Sept. 16, the employee refused to hand over any money and the suspect left on foot.

Officers responded to the convenience store on the 900 block of 8 Street, just before midnight on Saturday, Sept. 11, and she was arrested nearby.

The woman was released with a court date as the investigation continues, RCMP said.
