Attempted break-and-enter gives Enderby woman a scare

Vernon RCMP

ENDERBY - There were some frightening moments for an Enderby woman last week.

RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says the woman was sleeping in her Larson Avenue home in Enderby around 11 p.m. Dec. 12 when her dog started barking.

The motion light went on in the yard, and when she looked out the window, she saw two men in black hoodies staring in at her. The window screen had been removed.

Police located one of the suspects a short distance away and arrested him. The 20-year-old man is well-known to police and will appear in Salmon Arm court Monday on three counts of breaching probation, and one count of possessing break-in instruments.

His accomplice has not been found.
