As humans isolate, this B.C. grizzly emerges from a snowy hibernation

The grizzly bear at the Kicking Horse Mountain sanctuary awoke to a fresh blanket of snow.

This week isn't all bad news bears.

Boo the grizzly bear at the Grizzly Bear Refuge in Golden's Kicking Horse Mountain Resort woke up to a snowy sight yesterday, March 19, and is re-joining the outside world while many humans are avoiding it because of COVID-19.

The video posted to Facebook shows the orphaned bear has he nuzzles out of his snowy den while many humans are going stir crazy in their own isolation.

The video was recorded by the refuge's manager Nicole Gagnon. In the clip, she says she has wanted to capture this annual moment for eight years.
