Arrest made in Kamloops after fight in restaurant bathroom

August 18, 2021 - 12:09 PM

A fight in a restaurant bathroom led to the arrest of a Kamloops man on Friday.

Kamloops RCMP responded to a restaurant on Aug. 13 after it was reported that a man with a knife in the washroom was fighting with another customer, according to a Kamloops RCMP press release.

After gaining access to the locked washroom, Tristan Bris Fernandez, 24, was arrested at the restaurant on the 900-block of Columbia Street West.

He had failed to comply with probation orders by possessing a knife and tools capable of criminal activity, according to police.

Fernandez is facing three charges for breaching probation orders and police kept him in custody until his bail hearing.

He was then released and is scheduled for a second court appearance on Aug. 26.
