Another severe thunderstorm watch issued for the Okanagan

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the entire Okanagan valley this morning, June 12, 2020.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the Okanagan and much of the southeast Interior this morning.

Environment Canada says a developing storm may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain, as well.

The watch, issued at 4:50 a.m., includes the North Okanagan and Vernon, the Central Okanagan and Kelowna and the South Okanagan, including Penticton as well as the Shuswap, Similkameen and Boundary regions.

Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Residents are advised to continue monitoring the Environment Canada website for updates.
