KAMLOOPS - Two separate power outages in Kamloops this morning left about 5,900 customers without power after birds contacted wires.
B.C. Hydro was reporting 2,682 customers were without power in the Brocklehurst area as of about 8:40 a.m. The outage is being blamed on a bird contacting wire and power was restored within the hour.
Earlier this morning about 3,200 customers were without power after a bird contacted wires as well. Power was out for nearly two hours in that incident.
