Another boil water notice has been issued for parts of West Kelowna, but this time it's in Westbank Centre.

A release from the City of West Kelowna says it's not due to aging water systems in Lakeview Heights or Rose Valley this time but because of an accidental water main break by construction crews in the downtown core.

People within the affected area are being told to boil water for at least one minute before consuming in any way or find alternate sources of water. Free water is available from a bulk water station at Asquith and Shannon Lake Roads.

The accidental water main break was caused by non-municipal construction crews but a city spokesperson declined to name the construction project or identify the location.

For more information, the City suggests you use this web page.

You can also find the map of the affected area here.
