EDMONTON - Alberta Premier Alison Redford says she stated her case to high-profile American oilsands critic Al Gore, but doesn't have any illusions about the result.

Redford says she and Gore agreed to disagree on points about climate change and what Alberta is doing to eradicate it.

Redford and Gore, the former U.S. vice-president, met last week at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The two met as part of a closed-door discussion about climate change.

Redford says she can't, under forum rules, go into detail about what she and Gore discussed.

But she says she made the point that Alberta is fighting climate change through projects like carbon capture and storage.
