An Alberta man who drove through Kelowna's tent city along the Okanagan Rail Trail has pleaded guilty more than a year after the incident.
Tyler Grant Manchur, born in 1992, was charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm and impaired driving causing bodily harm and was scheduled for a trial on those charges today, Feb. 12.
Instead, Manchur pleased guilty to the impaired driving causing bodily harm charge, according to online court records.
Just after midnight on Sept. 25, 2022, Manchur drove his black Dodge Ram pickup onto the Okanagan Rail Trail and over an occupied tent.
One man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries and Manchur was arrested at the scene.
Manchur will be back in court in April for a pre-sentence report. He isn't being held in custody.
