KELOWNA - An aircraft bound for Kelowna from Victoria that reported trouble with its landing gear has arrived safely at the Kelowna Airport this morning.

The plane landed at about 9:55 a.m. today, March 23, according to a media release.

"There was no disruption to scheduled flight service at YLW," airport spokesperson Jasmine Patrick says in the release.

Emergency crews rush to the airport as a safety precaution.

"At approximately 8:40 a.m. a North Cariboo Air aircraft, operating on behalf of Pacific Coastal Airlines on approach to YLW from Victoria, advised the air traffic control tower that there were indications that there could be issues with the landing gear," Patrick says.

The number of passengers, type of aircraft and expected arrival time have not been released.
